A very warm welcome to our Outstanding Strong Close Nursery School where education has been delivered on our school site since the 1890's. We are a Local Authority Maintained Nursery School offering term time funded and fee paying places for children aged 2-5, with a caring, passionate and experienced staff team. In addition we have 30 inclusive Early Years Enhanced Specialist Provision places for young children with a range of complex needs. We provide high quality nursery education, Monday to Friday during term time, with additional, extended provision between the hours of 7.30am to 5.30 pm. 

At Strong Close we offer a creative and stimulating, learning environment with a wide range of opportunities and experiences to deepen children’s understanding. We engage and inspire our children, by supporting their play, learning, interests and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Our staff team support families with a variety of effective information and services including partnership working with agencies across the district. Staff, parents and carers from a diverse range of cultural and religious backgrounds work harmoniously together to share knowledge about their children, in order to ensure that they make the very best progress they can.
