Strong Close Nursery School Aims and Objectives
“We All Smile In The Same Language.”
Our Aims and Intentions
Our aim is to empower and support children to live well, reach their full potential and fulfil their dreams. We will work together to provide high quality, integrated, well resourced, inclusive, and accessible nursery provision, by providing rich and engaging learning experiences. We intend to make a difference to improve outcomes for young children under five by referring to and being part of the latest research into the early years and by linking planning, practice and provision to children’s needs, interests and schemas (or repeated patterns of play, for more information see our website schema page at https://strongclosenscc.co.uk/schemas/). We will work in close partnership with parents and carers, governors, the school community, other agencies and professionals to achieve these aims.
Our Objectives - How we will implement our aims
We will provide an inclusive learning environment, which will engage and inspire children under five, supporting their learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
We will ensure that we meet the needs and interests of all children, providing enhanced support for those most in need, including their safety, well-being and health.
We will enable staff, parents and carers to work together to share their knowledge about children, including their schemas and interests and increase their understanding of children’s needs in order to ensure that children make the best progress they can.
We will support staff and families in making healthy and informed choices to promote the physical and mental well-being of both themselves and their children and refer to and be a part of the latest research in child development and the early years by working closely with external partners.
We will engage and involve staff and parents / carers in shaping our provision and support families to thrive.
We will extend the most able and deepen and extend all children’s learning by building on their interests through schema activities, visits, visitors and project work. For more information visit our website at https://strongclosenscc.co.uk/visits-and-visitors/ and https://strongclosenscc.co.uk/project-work/
We recognise staff are our most important resource and will support staff development and wellbeing at all times both through informal and formal systems.
We acknowledge the importance of effective transitions in children’s lives and will ensure these are as smooth as possible through careful planning and communication with all the parties involved.
We will work in partnerships with schools and other providers for the benefit of all children and families in Bradford and Keighley through the development and dissemination of outstanding practice.
